Live Oak Acorn Earrings

Live Oak Acorn Earrings are hand cast with glass beads and hand patinaed bronze.

Acorn is approx 3/4" in size and earrings hang from a sterling silver french hook.

These earrings are a part of the collection designed by Jewelry Artist Michael Michaud for Silver Seasons Jewelry to honor 130 year old oak trees located on the campus at Auburn University at the edge of downtown Auburn, Alabama.

Seeped in tradition, the oak trees are a symbol of Auburn pride. The Auburn community gathers under the Toomer's oak trees to celebrate big wins.  Sadly, these trees were poisoned with a lethal dose of tebuthiuron, an herbicide.

This collection is designed to honor those trees and reflect Michael's famous jewelry design technique using wax cast molds from nature and replicating them with bronze.
