Live Oak Spray Necklace

Live Oak Leaf Spray Necklace is hand patinaed bronze on a soft chocolate brown leather cord. This necklace can be worn long at 24" or any length shorter as it is self adjustable.

This necklace is part of the collection designed by Jewelry Artist Michael Michaud for Silver Seasons Jewelry to honor 130 year old oak trees located on the campus at Auburn University at the edge of downtown Auburn, Alabama.

Seeped in tradition, the oak trees are a symbol of Auburn pride. The Auburn community gathers under the Toomer's oak trees to celebrate big wins.  Sadly, these trees were poisoned with a lethal dose of tebuthiuron, an herbicide.

This collection is designed from actual leaves from those trees and reflect Michael's famous jewelry design technique using wax cast molds from nature and replicating them with bronze.
