Live Oak Windy Leaf Earrings

Live Oak Windy Leaf Earrings are hand patinaed bronze. These earrings have a bit of movement to them as they dangle from a small ring attached to a sterling silver french hook. These leaf earrings are slightly larger than the Toomer's Corner Live Oak Leaf Earrings of similar style and they have a windy leaf movement for a more relaxed style. Windy leaf earring is 2 1/2" long and 1/2" wide.

This necklace is part of the collection designed by Jewelry Artist Michael Michaud for Silver Seasons Jewelry to honor 130 year old oak trees located on the campus at Auburn University at the edge of downtown Auburn, Alabama.

Seeped in tradition, the oak trees are a symbol of Auburn pride. The Auburn community gathers under the Toomer's oak trees to celebrate big wins.  Sadly, these trees were poisoned with a lethal dose of tebuthiuron, an herbicide.

This collection is designed from actual leaves from those trees and reflect Michael's famous jewelry design technique using wax cast molds from nature and replicating them with bronze.
